Final Greetings has now been back on the road for almost two full months! We've continued visiting churches and winter camps in the Pacific Northwest, and we've also had a chance to push our band forward through a couple really cool opportunities this past month. Here's some of what we've been up to.
We kicked off February by wandering around the city of Portland with our friend Jiross Lakey and holding a band photoshoot. It was pretty cold that day, but it was worth it! Then we made our way North to Seattle, WA for Youth at Calvary Fellowship with Craig Finley. We led worship for the youth and stuck around to hear their pastor do a Q&A where kids asked about the Sabbath, creation and tacos. Over the next couple days we got together with Bianka Mathus to continue booking for our Europe tour, and we shared a meal with her Ben and Hannah Finley and their daughter. We're looking forward to having all of them join us for our 2020 Europe tour! #tourfamily
While we were in the Seattle area, we traveled a little further North to visit Calvary Chapel Everett and Pastor Billy, a family friend of James's. They blessed us with a potluck on Saturday evening where we got to meet a lot of people from the church. We then led worship on Sunday morning for their weekly service, and held a rock concert that evening as well where we shared stories and testimonies amidst an intimate time of worship and prayer with the people that quickly became family. #worship
Next we visited our friends at Northwest Gospel Youth to lead worship on the Wednesday before their winter camp. We were also able to pray with their students in preparation for camp for all of the students and staff who would be going in just a few short days. Plus, we were able to compete with them at 9-Square, one of our favorite games! #youthgroups
We then joined the Northwest Gospel Youth Group for their annual Winter Camp full of games and fellowship. We loved getting to worship with the students and see them release themselves and praise God without hindrance. We helped the Rec Staff put on game times by manning stations. Garrett and Sam were able to scare some kids as zombies during one of the game times. We all really connected with kids this camp, and we're looking forward to going back next year. #wintercampseason
Final Greetings ended the month in the studio at Crossroads Productions in Vancouver, WA recording two of our original songs: Burn and By My Side. If you've watched our Youtube channel you've probably heard some of them, but we were excited to take a second look and improve them before getting them recorded. Keep your eyes on our social media over the course of this year so you don't miss their releases. #studiotime
